Colors of Fall Art Show

Lahaina Galleries has a new show exhibit taking place on Saturday, November 9th. Colors of the Fall Art Show is open to the public from 4pm to 7pm. Four of Lahaina Galleries favorite artists are set to welcome in fall with a new collection of artwork celebrating all the seasons. Artists: Carla Bosch, Aldo Luongo, Larissa Morais and James Scoppettone will be one hand during the event to meet and talk with guests. Artwork will stay on display throughout the month of November. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Lahaina Galleries is located at 1173 Newport Center Drive in Newport Beach. Roger's Gardens Christmas Shop

The Roger’s Gardens Christmas Store, Enchanted Christmas will be opening for the season on October 4th at 9am. From twinkling lights, to hand blown glass ornaments, to seasonal greens, there is something for everyone.  The Christmas Shop will remain open through Christmas. Grow Your Own with David Rizzo

Roger’s Gardens is presenting Grow Your Own with David Rizzo. This seminar will focus on vegetable, herbs, fruits and berries. This month’s emphasis is planting potatoes and other cool season vegetables. There will be a discussion on sowing seeds versus using transplants. There will be time for questions and comments. Newport Beach Farmers Market

The Newport Beach Farmers Market takes place every Sunday, rain or shine. Farmers Market hours are from 9am to 1pm. There is a selection of seasonal vegetables, seasonal fruits, organic and exotic fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, nuts and flowers. There are specialty items such as small batch breads, Mediterranean dips, vegan salsas, teas and juices. There is an artisan circle, as well. Flashback Heart Attack at Newport Beach Civic Center Green

Newport Beach Summer Concerts in the Park will continue will another installment on September 15th.  The concerts begin at 6pm and end at 7:30pm, on the Newport Beach Civic Center Green. The September 15h performer will be Flashback Heart Attack. Flashback Heart Attack is an 80’s cover band. Concerts are put on by the city of Newport Beach. Bring your chairs and blankets. Feel free to bring a picnic dinner or there will be food trucks on-site. The Summer Concert series is free to attend. Bungalow Blind Wine Taste Off

The 2019 Summer Series is hosting the Bungalow Blind Wine Taste Off. You get to be the judge. The evening includes a wine tasting and also a paired dinner. These are regional wines you will be tasting. On Thursday, August 22nd, the theme will be Shellfish and Chard, and Thursday, September 19th, the theme will be Cows and Cab. There are three different wines served with each meal. 11th Annual Lobsterfest

 

Newport Beach Lobsterfest is back for the eleventh year! Lobsterfest will be held on Sunday, August 11th, from 2pm to 7pm. Lobsterfest has a new location this year at the Newport Beach Civic Center Park. Lobsterfest has fresh, flown in Maine lobster and live local entertainment. Alongside the lobster with be NY Strip Steak, potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, fresh baked rolls and dessert. The Newport Beach Civic Center Green is located at 100 Civic Center Drive in Newport Beach. Fletcher Jones Fast and Fussiest Pet Adoption Event

 

If you are getting ready to sell your home, take time as the season begins to change take time to clean the windows outside and inside. To sell your home it needs to sparkle, so make sure the windows do too. In addition, take the drapes or curtains and have them cleaned.  Also, clean the blinds. Newport Beach Inaugural Wellness Week

 

When you are selling your home, curb appeal is always important, regardless of the season. The exterior or curb appeal of the home will give the potential buyer a good idea of what they can expect from the interior of the home. Begin by mowing the lawn, diagonally, if possible. During the home sale process, be sure to water the lawn and the gardens, so they look their best. 80th Anniversary of Lido Theater

 

When you are selling your home during the summer season, bring in a bit of summer with blooming flowers in the garden and in the house. At the front door, add a container of brightly blooming plants; this will certainly make potential buyers feel welcome. The Lido Theater is celebrating its 80th Anniversary by showing the very first movie ever shown at the theater.
